Hey there, I'm Madison

My name is Madison, but you can also call me Madi. I’m 24 years old, a self-taught photographer, and a servant-hearted storyteller.

So who's this chick they call Madi? You know, I'm still figuring out the answer to this question, but I'll tell you what I know. I am a wedding and engagement photographer located in Central Virginia. While I may be stepping into your life for a short moment, I'm so excited to help you cherish the memories you're going to look back on for a lifetime.

Why Photography?


Guys, this job of mine is so much more than a camera and some JPEGS. When I look through the my lens, I see a story in every soft smile and messy laugh. When I deliver each gallery, my goal is to show you just exactly how beautiful your life’s moments are. My service to you isn’t simply to hold up a camera, but it is to help you cherish this gift we call life—it is far too short not to. Seriously.


So, why did I choose photography? Well, I can’t say this decision started in one place. Perhaps it began during the teenage years I forced my four-year-old sister in front of the lens of my old iPhone to take "artsy" (translation: cringey) pictures. Or maybe during my first job at a wedding venue, where I first discovered my passion for serving people on their wedding days (I could talk about this for hours!). Or maybe in college, when I uncovered the thrill of visual storytelling through graphic design. Or, just maybe, the Lord chose to bring me through all of these things to the point of picking up my first DSLR, becoming a self-taught photographer, and capturing people's most special life-moments.


While I have a deep passion for photography and all that comes with it, I want you to know my WHY: a passion for serving you. For making every person in front of me feel valued and loved. For giving them the comfort to take up space in my presence. For seeing the unique value placed on their life, and delivering it in photo-form. While this sounds cheesy, I know, it is truly my heart. Or maybe this is all my secret way of making friends. We'll never know.

Where are you based? Do you travel?

I’m currently based in Lynchburg, Virginia, but I’d LOVE to chat about travel. When you inquire, I’ll give you a custom travel quote for locations 50+ miles out of my area.

How would you describe your style?

This is such a fun question!! I love leaning into warm & golden tones while still remaining true to the moment we shot in. Check out some examples of my previous work on my portfolio page.

How does payment work?

Once you’re ready to book, I will send you a contract and ask for a deposit to lock you into my schedule (I’m all yours)! Depending on the type of booking, your final payment will be due 1-14 days before our session.

What is your turnaround time?

For regular sessions, you can expect the full gallery within 4 weeks. For proposals & weddings, my goal is to deliver a sneak peek of the gallery within a week—we’ve gotta make those social media announcements, right?! Full wedding galleries will typically be delivered up to 10 weeks after the event.

But Madi, what do you do about bad weather?!

While I REALLY wish I could control the weather, sometimes nature has its unavoidable surprises. I keep a close eye on the forecast and do my best to schedule around bad conditions. In the case of inclement weather, we will most likely chat about rescheduling.
